The Broken Leg

One day, I was playing football with my friends in our school football club.  It was the rainy season.

It was cloudy at that time. Before we played football, we had been given some instruction by our coach Wayan Sukarya. He was born in Singaraja in a small village. He was smart for setting formation strategies. After that me and my friends had to do warm-ups. Our coach asked us to run around the soccer field. As we ran, it rained. The coach then asked us to stop running. Soon the rain stopped.  my friends and I started playing games. Coach reminded us to be careful, because the field was very slippery.

The game started with water over the field. Jumping strongly, I got the ball, so I ran and dribbled the ball to the goal energetically. When I tried to kick the ball, I slipped and “CRACK”. I fell down suddenly. Unluckily, I broke one of my knees. My friends then brought me to a hospital. I had to have bed rest for quite a long time. But everything grew so much better when I noticed that all of my friends in our football team always supported me and accompanied me to train my broken knee.

It was an unforgettable experience in senior high school. This experience taught me a very valuable lesson to do everything more carefully.

Thanks
